But, then again, the weather around here isn't known for being even-keeled. Will Rogers didn't quip (reportedly), "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, just wait a minute and it'll change" for no good reason.
We can go from a frozen tundra
to a stop and smell the flowers spring-like day in the space of a few hours.
And...back to scarf and snowman weather just as quickly.
Though, all too often, we get the cold and not the snow. Building a snowman is a pretty big event - it means it snowed enough and the snow had enough moisture to build with - a fairly rare occurrence.
There won't be any snowman building this weekend, unless he's cake; the forecast is for the high 60s to almost 80°F. I won't complain about the warmth, but I'm secretly (ok, no so secretly anymore) hoping for a huge blizzard and lots more cold weather - it is winter after all. But, while the weather is nice, be sure to go out and enjoy it.
