Here it is the start of March and I'm still writing 2014 on things. Yep, I must be having loads of fun. So much so I need a vacation...maybe the mountains...
But, I digress. I haven't shared any of the February goodies with you yet, and here it is March. So what do you say we check them out?
Mustachioed cupcakes and matching cake balls.
Anniversary cake #1.
Anniversary cake #2. Or maybe I should refer to them as #3 and #4; if you are thinking you've seen these cakes before, you are not mistaken. I did versions of them in January, but due to life happening the event was rescheduled. So, viola! Recreations!
Leopard print fit for a princess. And cake balls too!
Heart and bow for a Valentine birthday.
Polka dots, stripes and a bow - oh my.
School themed cupcakes. Fun facts: the books are made from Airheads candies; the pencils from Pringles sticks.
Valentine cupcakes. And, no, your eyes do not deceive you - some of those cupcakes are not iced. The client ordered them with filling, but no icing; solution, slice the tops off, fill the cupcake and replace the top; add decoration. Boom! Filled, but non-iced cupcakes.
A portal for a Skylander. The Skylander and a fun banner with the birthday boy's name were added after delivery.
A Toy Story inspired birthday cake.
And, last but not least...
Trust your doctor. Yep, that's a Tardis, though not an edible one. It was built from paper. Ever heard of cubeecraft? It's a whole website that offers build-able paper toys...for free. Kind of a fun project - really tests your cutting skills and patience. Haha! Another side note, when I delivered this cake, the birthday boy was dressed as the Doctor; he was very much in character.
Oh, speaking of time flying by - don't forget to set your clocks forward this weekend. Daylight Saving Time resumes - hello longer evenings! Spring and summer are just around the corner; yay!
Talk to you soon!
Oh my gosh I want to try each and every one of these :)
