And here they are dressed to the nines and ready to be eaten!
336 (28 dozen!) cupcakes plus a topper cake for a wedding. Sadly the cupcake stand isn't mine, but I LOVE it and wish it could be. *swoon*
1/2 dozen (that's 6) simply decorated cupcakes that were just an excuse to use my new french style frosting tip. I really like the look of these swirls...lots of icing though...
1 dozen cupcakes decorated with candy melt peace signs, music notes, and "J"s.
And, 1 dozen camouflage cupcakes, done in buttercream, not fondant. First time trying this look on cupcakes and in buttercream - it turned out better than I expected!
So, final tally on the cupcakes in the last week was...drum roll, please...30.5 dozen or 366 cupcakes. And there were actually about 6 dozen more than that, I just didn't get pictures of them!
Cupcakes aren't all I did this past week though...I also made this darling cake for a first birthday.
The pony and slices of cake, as well as the fences, banner, and "1" on the smash cake, were made from gumpaste. Yes, the pony is sporting an orange and black halter...I'd say she's an OSU fan.
I also created several entries for the 2011 Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show that was held in Tulsa, OK last weekend. I'm currently still working on editing the photos I took of many of the beautiful entries for a post in the next few days, but I'll go ahead and share my entries (and K's too!) with you.
